New Delhi, July 2 -- Delhi's first-ever cloud seeding trial has been postponed due to prevailing weather conditions, according to Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Minister of Food & Supplies, Industry, and Environment in the Delhi government. The trial, initially scheduled for 4th July, will now be conducted in the last week of August or early September, based on scientific recommendations from IIT Kanpur and Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) Pune.

Sirsa stated that the revised timing aims to ensure the impact can be clearly measured without interference from natural rainfall. He called the initiative a significant step toward combating pollution and improving environmental health in the capital.
