New Delhi, May 29 -- Under the directives of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Delhi Police has achieved a major success in its crackdown on illegal immigrants, particularly Bangladeshi nationals.

In a 10-day intensive verification drive led by teams from the South-West District, the police apprehended 88 Bangladeshi nationals residing illegally in India.

Following completion of all legal formalities, the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) has initiated the deportation process for all the detained individuals.
