New Delhi, Feb. 7 -- Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood has described the 206-27 Union Budget as a departure from colonial legacies and a reflection of the work culture of New India. In a series of posts on social media, Sood said the budget under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strengthened the Indian economy, pulling it out of fragile conditions and placing it among the world's leading economies.

Sood said that while the opposition has repeatedly raised the same criticisms on every budget, the government has continued to take concrete steps for development and public welfare.
