New Delhi, June 5 -- On the occasion of World Environment Day 2025, Delhi Metro was honoured with the "Best Green Transporter of the Year" award by the Green Society of India (GSI) at World Biofuel Expo, 2025 at India Expo Centre, Greater Noida.

The award was received by S.A. Verma, ED/Environment, DMRC from Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Minister for Industries, Food & Supplies, Environment, Forest & Wild Life, Govt. of Delhi, for DMRC's sustained efforts in promoting eco-friendly urban mobility through green buildings, renewable energy, and carbon reduction.
