New Delhi, Dec. 24 -- Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has written a strongly worded letter to AAP convenor and former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of "gross indifference" and "criminal inaction" on the issue of air pollution and holding his government responsible for the present crisis in the national capital. There was no immediate response from the Aam Aadmi Party.

In the letter, Saxena claimed that during a past conversation on air pollution, Kejriwal had downplayed the issue, describing it as an annual phenomenon exaggerated by activists and courts. The L-G said "11 years of neglect and criminal inaction" by Kejriwal and the AAP government had led to Delhi's deteriorating air quality.
