New Delhi, Feb. 11 -- Delhi LG VK Saxena has declared February 12, 2025 as a public holiday, as it is the day on which Ravidas Jayanti is celebrated. Previously, Ravidas Jayanti used to be a restricted holiday.

With this decision, all government offices and institutions in Delhi will remain closed on February 12 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sant Guru Ravidas.

"The Lt. Governor of National Capital Territory of Delhi is pleased to declare Wednesday, the 12th February, 2025 as a Holiday in all Government Offices, Autonomous Bodies & Public Undertakings, under the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, on account of Guru Ravidas Jayanti," said the order issued by LG VK Saxena.
