New Delhi, May 27 -- Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has i commended the ongoing efforts of the Irrigation and Flood Control Department in addressing waterlogging issues caused by heavy and unexpected rains. In a post shared on social media, the LG noted the positive impact of the consistent monitoring and field visits led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
The LG acknowledged that the problem is a result of over a decade of neglect and would require sustained effort to resolve fully. However, the visible improvements - including videos showing smooth water flow in key drains - were described as a gratifying outcome of the new government's proactive governance.
