New Delhi, Jan. 20 -- The Delhi High Court has refused to grant bail to former Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in connection with the custodial death case involving the father of the Unnao rape survivor.

Justice Ravinder Dudeja observed that although Sengar has already spent around seven and a half years in prison against his total sentence of ten years, and there has been a delay in hearing his appeal against conviction, the court could not overlook the fact that part of the delay was attributable to Sengar himself, as he had filed multiple applications during the course of the proceedings.
