New Delhi, Dec. 30 -- The Delhi government has approved a comprehensive roadmap to make the remaining 6,476 flats in the Ghevra housing project ready for allotment to Economically Weaker Section (EWS) residents, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced A budgetary allocation of Rs.27.5 crore has been sanctioned to renovate and restore the 37.81-acre housing complex.

The Chief Minister said that families are expected to begin receiving the keys to their flats in the New Year. She noted that prolonged neglect by previous governments left the colony largely unoccupied, resulting in extensive deterioration of the flats.
