New Delhi, Nov. 28 -- The Delhi Government has announced the construction of a 53-kilometre long new cycling track along the Yamuna river. The corridor will stretch from Wazirabad Yamuna Barrage to Kalindi Kunj Biodiversity Park via NH-24, and will be developed in three phases.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that the project is targeted to be completed within three years, and will provide Delhi with a major boost in green mobility, helping reduce pollution and offering citizens a safe, modern, and dedicated cycling facility.
The initiative aims to preserve the green belt along the Yamuna, strengthen environmental sustainability, promote public health, and give a new push to eco-tourism in the capital.
