New Delhi, April 17 -- The Delhi government has announced an increase in the minimum wage rates for all categories of workers. These new rates will be applicable from April 1, 2025.

The government emphasized that this increase is in line with the rise in the Consumer Price Index and aims to offer financial relief to workers, especially those employed in the unorganized sector in Delhi.

The notification clarifies that any employer paying less than the prescribed minimum wages is in violation of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948. Affected workers are entitled to approach the Labour Commissioner or Deputy Labour Commissioner for grievances.
