New Delhi, Oct. 29 -- Delhi's second cloud seeding trial was successfully conducted today as part of the city's ongoing weather-modification initiative. A Cessna aircraft, operated by the IIT Kanpur team, took off from Kanpur and flew over Khekra, Burari, North Karol Bagh, Mayur Vihar, Sadakpur, and Bhojpur, before landing at Meerut Airport.

During the flight, eight cloud-seeding flares were released using pyro techniques to stimulate artificial rainfall.

Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa stated that the IIT Kanpur team expects rainfall in the city within the next few hours as a result of the operation.
