New Delhi, Sept. 2 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta paid floral tributes and released a book on the life of Delhi's first Assembly Speaker, Charti Lal Goel, on his 98th birth anniversary at a ceremony held in the Delhi Assembly.

Union Minister of Parliamentary and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of State Harish Malhotra, Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta, and Vice Chairman of Gandhi Smriti Vijay Goel, along with several MPs and MLAs, were present on the occasion.

Rekha Gupta said Charti Lal Goel's life was a shining example of service, dedication, and dignity. Under his leadership, politics was not confined to power but became a strong medium for social upliftment and public welfare.
