New Delhi, May 12 -- On May 10, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta chaired a high-level review meeting at the Delhi Secretariat with heads of all departments to assess the city's preparedness for emergency situations. Departments were directed to take all necessary measures in their respective areas of responsibility.

The Health Department was instructed to ensure hospitals are fully prepared, ambulances are available, and there is adequate stock of medicines and essential supplies. Directions were also issued to secure power backup in intensive care units and to cancel leave for medical and paramedical staff while preparing duty rosters for emergency deployment.
