New Delhi, April 22 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta along with Union Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh launched the Delhi Heat Action Plan 2025 at the Delhi Secretariat.

To combat the intense summer heat, the Delhi government is activating its disaster management mechanisms and proposing the installation of 3,000 cold water ATMs as part of a broader relief strategy.

As part of the initiative, 1,800 trained disaster response volunteers, known as 'Aapda Mitras', from the National and Delhi Disaster Response Forces will be deployed across the city.
