New Delhi, Feb. 7 -- Delhi has become the first state in the country to join the cooperative cab model under Bharat Taxi. An MoU was signed between the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) and Sahkar Taxi Cooperative Limited under the chairpersonship of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.

The initiative aims to strengthen safe, reliable, and transparent taxi services in the national capital. As part of the programme, taxi drivers will be given special training in soft skills as well as Delhi's culture, history, and heritage, enabling them to function as brand ambassadors for Delhi tourism.
