New Delhi, Oct. 28 -- The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in Delhi is set to enhance its annual passenger handling capacity to 130 million, as operational "efficiencies can thrive," according to Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, CEO of Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL).
Currently, the airport - India's busiest - has a handling capacity of over 100 million passengers. In FY2024-25, it recorded 79.3 million passengers. Jaipuriar said numbers are expected to rise further this year, though no specific projection was provided.
Following the inauguration of the refurbished Terminal 2 (T2) on October 26, IGIA now operates with three terminals - T1 for domestic flights, T2 (recently modernised), and T3 for all international operations....
