New Delhi, May 26 -- The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for bye-elections to fill vacancies in five Assembly Constituencies across Gujarat, Kerala, Punjab, and West Bengal. The seats going to the polls are: 24-Kadi (SC) and 87-Visavadar in Gujarat, due to the death of Karsanbhai Punjabhai Solanki and the resignation of Bhayani Bhupendrabhai Gandubhai respectively; 35-Nilambur in Kerala, following the resignation of P. V. Anvar; 64-Ludhiana West in Punjab, following the death of Gurpreet Bassi Gogi; and 80-Kaliganj in West Bengal, due to the demise of Nasiruddin Ahamed.
