New Delhi, June 5 -- Delhi Power Minister Ashish Sood criticised the previous AAP-led administration, stating that the current Delhi government inherited a "broken and dilapidated" electricity system. He alleged that over the past 10 years, power companies did not invest a single rupee in strengthening the electricity infrastructure under the guise of capital expenditure.
Despite these challenges, Sood highlighted that the current year recorded the lowest number of power cuts in the past five years - only 1,946 outages - signaling significant progress in power management.
