New Delhi, July 11 -- As the COVID-19-related lockdown restrictions are being eased of, the country's economy has begun to show signs of normalcy, said Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das on Saturday, July 11, adding, however, "a very careful trajectory" has to be followed after the containment of the pandemic.

During his keynote address at the seventh SBI Banking and Economics Conclave, Mr. Das said that as demand and supply shocks due to the Coronavirus still loom large, the economy's medium-term outlook hovers over uncertainty even as the country has begun re-opening after over two months of a nationwide lockdown.
