New Delhi, Feb. 25 -- The first-ever Conference for Women Peacekeepers on the theme "Women in Peacekeeping: A Global South Perspective" commenced in New Delhi on 24 February 2025. The conference is being organised by the Ministry of External Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence and the Centre for United Nations Peacekeeping (CUNPK).
Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar in his keynote address reiterated: "Guided by Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam- the world is one family. India reaffirms its dedication to global peace & gender diversity in UN peacekeeping."
