New Delhi, Dec. 10 -- Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu on Tuesday said that the government has directed IndiGo to reduce its overall flight routes by 10% in order to stabilise operations and reduce cancellations, following days of major disruption due to alleged internal mismanagement of crew rosters and scheduling.
The Minister informed that IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers was summoned again to the Ministry today to provide an operational update. Elbers confirmed that 100% refunds for flights affected till December 6 have been completed. The airline has been strictly instructed to expedite remaining refunds and baggage return for impacted passengers.
