New Delhi, May 16 -- Only after the government at the centre issues fresh guidelines on restrictions and relaxations for the fourth phase of nationwide lockdown, from May 18, the Delhi excise department will take a call on allowing private liquor shops to resume operations and provisions for its home delivery, said senior government officials on Friday, May 15.

Reiterating the same, the government official said, "The department has decided to wait for clear guidelines from the Centre on allowing private liquor shops to open and home delivery." Adding further the official said, "These guidelines are expected to be announced in a day or two."
