New Delhi, March 29 -- The Government of India has officially declared April 14, 2025 (Monday), as a public holiday to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The holiday will be applicable to all Central Government offices, including industrial establishments across India.

The announcement was made through an Office Memorandum issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions (Department of Personnel & Training). The circular directs all Ministries, Departments, and government offices to take note of the decision and ensure its implementation.
