New Delhi, July 17 -- The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana for a period of six years, starting from 2025-26. Targeting 100 districts, the scheme marks a significant initiative focused exclusively on agriculture and allied sectors, drawing inspiration from NITI Aayog's Aspirational District Programme.
The scheme aims to enhance agricultural productivity, promote crop diversification, and encourage sustainable farming practices.
