New Delhi, June 24 -- In the byelections held in five Assembly seats, the Aam Aadmi Party emerged as a big gainer winning 2 of these five seats.

In the Visavadar Assembly constituency of Gujarat, Italia Gopal from the Aam Aadmi Party secured victory with 75,942 votes, defeating Kirit Patel of the Bharatiya Janata Party who received 58,388 votes. Italia Gopal won by a margin of 17,554 votes. In Punjab's Ludhiana West constituency, Sanjeev Arora of the Aam Aadmi Party emerged victorious with 35,179 votes, defeating Bharat Bhushan Ashu of the Indian National Congress who garnered 24,542 votes, resulting in a margin of 10,637 votes.
