New Delhi, Jan. 21 -- On his first visit to India after assuming power, Brazilian President Jair Messias Bolsonaro will be commencing his four-day visit to India on Friday, January 24, primarily as Chief Guest on Republic Day.

To be accompanied by seven ministers, top officials and a large business delegation, President Bolsonaro will also look forward to boost trade ties with India.

The Ministry of External Affairs in a statement, said, "President of Brazil Jair Messias Bolsonaro will be paying a state visit to India from January 24-27 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
