New Delhi, Feb. 10 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won a comprehensive victory in the 2025 Delhi State Assembly Elections winning 48 seats and comfortably crossing the majority mark in the 70 seat Delhi Legislative Assembly.

The incumbent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won 22 seats while the Congress again drew a blank for the third consecutive Delhi Assembly Elections as 67 out of 70 candidates of Congress lost their election deposit, although it increased its overall vote share compared to the last election.

Among the most watched contests, Parvesh Saheb Singh Varma of the BJP defeated AAP's most prominent face Arvind Kejriwal in New Delhi Assembly constituency while in Jangpura, Tarwinder Singh Marwah of BJP defeated Manish Sisodia. A...
