New Delhi, Dec. 22 -- The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party registered a sweeping victory in the panchayat elections in Arunachal Pradesh, winning a clear majority of seats in both zilla parishad and gram panchayat constituencies, according to the final results declared by the State Election Commission (SEC) on Sunday evening.
Vote counting for the panchayat and municipal body polls was held on December 20, 2025, while the panchayat results were officially confirmed late on December 21, SEC Secretary Taru Talo said.
