New Delhi, Dec. 14 -- Soon after the amended Citizenship Act came into force, after getting an assent form President Mr. Ram Nath Kovind on December 12, 2019, the Bharatiya Janata Party MPs have been tasked to speak out to Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, Sikh and Christian refugees from Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan, in their respective constituencies.

The ruling party's MPs are given time from December 14 to December 31, to complete their task. Bharatiya Janata Party's working President JP Nadda tasked the MPs to connect to the people and inform them about the amended Act. He has also asked the BJP legislators in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to organise press conferences for the purpose.
