New Delhi, Jan. 27 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Republic Day said that the BJP government has initiated tangible and positive changes in the lives of people living in slums and JJ colonies, asserting that previous governments treated them merely as a vote bank without ensuring basic facilities or dignity.
Rekha Gupta said that on Republic Day she shared a meal and interacted with residents and families who attended the inauguration and foundation-laying ceremony of development works for slum clusters at the Chief Minister Jan Seva Sadan.
She said the programme was attended by BJP Delhi president Virendra Sachdeva, state general secretary Vishnu Mittal, and other public representatives.
