New Delhi, Aug. 11 -- The war of words between the BJP and AAP in Delhi has intensified over allegations of corruption and the conduct of desilting audits.
AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj accused the BJP-led Delhi government and its officials of massive corruption in desilting work, claiming that despite High Court orders, no third-party audit was conducted last year or this year. He alleged that on Rakshabandhan, waterlogging led to multiple deaths, including that of a two-and-a-half-year-old child who drowned in an open sewer. Bharadwaj further claimed that his letter to the Chief Secretary requesting the audit report was never received, as per an RTI reply, and alleged that official documents were being deliberately removed.
