New Delhi, July 16 -- At the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers meeting held in Tianjin, India called for renewed unity among member states to address escalating global instability, regional terrorism, and economic fragmentation. Representing India, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar emphasized the importance of multilateral cooperation grounded in respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity, and mutual benefit.
Addressing the gathering, Jaishankar said the world today is grappling with growing "conflicts, competition and coercion," which threaten to destabilize the international system. He stressed the need for SCO to act decisively to de-risk global challenges and stabilize the world order....
