New Delhi, April 28 -- As the number of Coronavirus cases is keeping a rise in India, with financial and medical resources slowly getting depleted, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on Tuesday, April 28 gave its nod to lend India a loan worth $ 1.5 billion to boost the country's Covid-19 response programmes.

In an official statement, ADB President Masatsugu Asakawa said, "The ADB is fully committed to supporting the government of India in its response to this unprecedented challenge.
