New Delhi, Jan. 13 -- A police official on Sunday, January 12, said that Aam Aadmi Party's Punjab unit Chief Bhagwant Mann along with some other party legislators from Punjab has been booked on the charges of assault, rioting and obstructing police officials from performing their duties while the protests against power tariff hike were going on in the region.

"An FIR (first information report) has been registered here against Mann and others under various Sections of the IPC including rioting, voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant in discharge of his duty," said SHO of Sector 3 Police Station, Inspector Jaspal Singh.
