New Delhi, Jan. 7 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) held a protest against rising pollution levels in the capital, accusing the Rekha Gupta-led BJP government of gross over deteriorating air quality and its impact on public health.

Addressing the protest, Leader of Opposition Atishi said that pollution has become a matter of survival for Delhi's residents. She alleged that the BJP government has made life unbearable for the people of the city, claiming that lives are being lost due to severe air pollution and that hospitals are overflowing with patients suffering from respiratory ailments.

Atishi also referred to a recent international embarrassment, stating that when football legend Lionel Messi visited Delhi, chants of "AQI-AQI" were heard...
