New Delhi, Jan. 3 -- The Aam Aadmi Party has criticised the Delhi Education Department over a circular that allegedly has asked the teachers to be involved in the counting of stray dogs.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, the Directorate of Education stated that no order had been issued regarding stray dogs, and warned of possible FIR action over what it termed as misinformation. However, AAP MLA Sanjeev Jha claimed that the department had earlier released circulars on the issue and asserted that two official circulars dated November 20, 2025, and December 5, 2025, exist. He demanded clarity from the Education Minister and the DoE on who authorised and issued these circulars.
