New Delhi, Dec. 1 -- A heated political confrontation has erupted between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over allegations of bogus voting during the MCD by-elections in Delhi.
AAP claimed that the BJP was engaged in "vote theft" to influence the results of the Naraina ward bypoll. The party alleged that at Booth 33, a voter named Poonam found that a fake vote had already been cast in her name before she reached the polling station.
AAP posted that such incidents show that BJP has lost confidence in winning the bypoll and is relying solely on electoral manipulation. The party also questioned the role of the Election Commission, alleging that it was ignoring irregularities.
