New Delhi, May 24 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) of being anti Dalit and anti- Women Over Rejection of Savitribai Phule Portrait Proposal in Delhi Assembly.
AAP leader Rakhi Birla accused the BJP of consistently harbouring anti-Dalit and anti-women sentiments. "By rejecting the portrait of Savitribai Phule - a pioneering figure in women's education and social justice - BJP has shown its deep-rooted hatred towards freedom fighters and reformers," Birla stated.
Another leader, Kuldeep Kumar, condemned the issuance of notices against party legislators for their proposal, calling it an insult to a national icon. "If it is wrong to demand a portrait of Savitribai Phule, then hang us for it," he said,...
