New Delhi, May 24 -- The Delhi government under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has decided to withdraw seven cases previously filed against the Lieutenant Governor (LG) by the former Aam Aadmi Party-led administration.

This was informed by Delhi Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa in a message on social media. Manjinder Singh Sirsa stated that the decision reflects the Gupta government's clear stand that no conflict should exist with the LG. Sirsa added that unnecessary legal confrontations had hampered governance and that the withdrawal of these cases will now pave the way for smoother functioning between the state government and the LG office.
