New Delhi, June 23 -- India's evacuation efforts under Operation Sindhu continue steadily, with another special flight arriving from Mashhad, Iran. The flight landed in New Delhi at 11:30 PM on 22 June, carrying 285 Indian nationals.
Minister of State Pabitra Margherita received the evacuees at the airport. With this latest arrival, a total of 1,713 Indian citizens have now been safely brought back from Iran as part of the ongoing evacuation mission.
In view of the recent developments between Israel and Iran, the Government of India has decided to evacuate from Israel those Indian nationals who wish to leave. Their travel from Israel to India will be facilitated through the land borders and thereafter by air to India.
