New Delhi, Nov. 26 -- Air travel at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport faced disruptions on Tuesday as ash plumes from an Ethiopian volcanic eruption affected aircraft movement.
At least seven international flights were cancelled and over ten overseas services suffered delays due to the drifting ash clouds.
Air India confirmed that it has cancelled 13 flights citing safety concerns.The ash is originating from the Hayli Gubbi volcano in Ethiopia, which recently erupted.On 23 November 2025, the Toulouse Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre (VAAC) reported that a powerful volcanic eruption had started.
