Kathmandu, Sept. 16 -- Himalaya Airlines has this week introduced Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) onboard all its fleet of three A320s and one A319.

An AED is a portable device that automatically diagnoses and treats the life-threatening sudden cardiacarrest. The Airlines has placed AEDs in its airplanes as well as its Head Office and ground handling office located at TIA (Airport Office).

All cabin crew and ground personnel have been provided proper training in thorough usage of AEDs.
