Mumbai, Feb. 11 -- To further drive its clean mobility motive, the Ministry of Heavy Industries (Government of India) has enhanced the outlay of FAME India scheme Phase II from INR 100 billion to INR 115 billion.

The segment wise distribution will be such that electric two-wheeler segment will get an outlay of INR 531billion; electric three-wheeler segment will get an outlay of INR 9.87 billion; electric four-wheeler segment will get an outlay of INR 7.5 billion, electric passenger car segment will get an outlay of 8.3 billion, and e-buses will get an outlay of INR 320 billion. As afund and term limited scheme, it will be valid until 31 March 2024 or till there are funds in the coffers.
