Mumbai, May 6 -- BorgWarner has bagged two high-voltage hairpin (HVH) e-motor business wins with XPeng, a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, to be used in its upcoming two SUV models.

The recently secured contracts include BorgWarner's advanced oil-cooled 800V e-motor systems, comprising stator and rotor components customised for the vehicles. The production is expected to start in 2025.BorgWarner says the HVH220 e-motor offer high power and torque density, enhanced efficiency, and superior durability.
