Mumbai, Jan. 21 -- BMW Motorrad achieved its second-best sales result in 2020 despite the pandemic. The bike manufacturer managed to sell 169,272 motorcycles and scooters in 2020, a mere 3.4 percent degrowth over 2019 sales of 175,162 units.

Germany remains the biggest market for the company with a record sale of 27,516 units. While the company managed to grow in the French market, it had to face setbacks in other European markets like Italy, Spain and Great Britain, resulting in a 5.3 percent decline in sales volume.
