Morocco-Made E-Scooter to Go on Market in 2019
Rabat, March 21 -- Moroccan expatriate and entrepreneur Brahim Belghiti, the man behind the start-up Pickalty, will soon offer Mayar, the first model of electric scooter "made in Morocco," reported the Huffington Post on March 16.
Pickalty is a Moroccan tricycle brand based in Kenitra, a city north of Rabat.
The eco-friendly vehicle will enter the market in the summer of 2019.
The Mayar team limited the bikes' speed to 15 kilometers per hour as a safety measure and to keep them in the category of soft mobility, reported the news outlet. The Mayar will have a starting price of MAD 15,000.
