Rabat, June 24 -- Police seized 600 kilograms of cannabis in Taghbalt, a rural area in Zagora, southern Morocco on Sunday, June 23.

A statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) said that police arrested two suspects for their alleged involvement in a drug trafficking network.

The suspects are aged 25 and 30.

Police seized the cannabis, found in sewage channels, in the rural district of Taghbalt after information provided from the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST).

The statement added that the search operation also enabled the seizure of a vehicle used to transport drugs.
