Rabat, Aug. 19 -- King Mohammed VI has granted his royal pardon to 262 inmates sentenced in many prisons across Morocco, a statement from the Ministry of Justice said on Monday, August 19.

The King granted his royal pardon to the inmates on the eve of the 66th anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People. The ministry said in a statement that 217 prisoners had their prison terms reduced.
