New Delhi, May 8 -- Auto salescametoastandstill for most companies inApril, except for tractor manufacturers. Whilea ll carcompanies,includingindustryleader Maruti Suzuki IndiaL td,reportedz erosalesf or April, Mahindraand MahindraLtd (M&M) managed to sell 4,716 farmequipmentvehiclesin the domestic market. This is because thelockdownwas partially lifted forsomeindustries on 20 April. Note that ayear ago, M&Mhad sold 13,418farm equipmentvehicles,whicht ranslates into dailysales of 433 vehicles. Interestingly, the companyhas managed the same daily rate of sales when the lockdown waspartially lifted on 20 April.
